(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 2-Dec-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Logicor, a prominent European logistics real estate company, and Kryalos SGR, a leading Italian asset management firm overseeing over €13 billion in assets, have announced the acquisition of a new warehouse in Sordio, located in the Lodi region of Northern Italy. The transaction was carried out through the Mazer Fund, a closed-end real estate investment fund managed by Kryalos SGR and invested in by Logicor.

The acquired site spans approximately 23,000 m², featuring over 10,000 m² of warehouse space, 1,500 m² of office facilities, and 3,700 m² of green areas. Strategically positioned just 25 km from Milan, Italy’s primary logistics hub, and 15 km from Lodi, the property benefits from excellent connectivity to major transport routes, including the SS9-Via Emilia, A58-Tangenziale Est Esterna, A1-Autostrada del Sole, and key airports such as Linate and Orio al Serio.

Logicor plans to enhance the property’s energy efficiency by adding a photovoltaic system and charging stations for electric vehicles, complementing the existing LED lighting and NFPA sprinkler systems.

“This acquisition aligns with our strategy to grow in areas that are vital for our customers. The Lodi region, with its proximity to Milan, is a key logistics location, and this investment strengthens our commitment to offering strategic and sustainable solutions,” said Graeme Hepburn, Logicor’s Country Manager for Italy.

Gianluca Vairani, Senior Managing Director Transaction Management & Head of ESG at Kryalos SGR, echoed these sentiments: “With its central role in logistics and infrastructure development, the Lodigiano area is an ideal choice to support our clients’ growth. This acquisition reinforces our long-term vision of sustainability and innovation in key logistics hubs.”

Logicor, which manages and owns over 2.6 million m² of real estate assets in regions including Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Lazio, continues to expand its footprint in Italy. Recent developments include a logistics hub in Lainate and a refurbishment project in Vignate, both in the Milan area.

Advisors involved in the acquisition included The Blossom Avenue and White & Case (Legal), Yard Reass (Technical), Bertacco Recla (Urban Planning Legal), and Ernst & Young (Tax & Legal).
