RWE Secures New Wind Projects in France, Expands Renewable Capacity with 41.3 MW in Latest Bid Round

(IN BRIEF) RWE has won contracts for two new wind projects in France’s latest onshore wind bidding round, adding a combined 41.3 MW of capacity in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Centre-Val de Loire regions. These projects will provide clean energy to approximately 33,700 people and reinforce RWE’s renewable growth strategy in France. Since entering the French market in 2020, RWE has expanded its renewable capacity and is investing globally to achieve over 65 GW in green energy by 2030.

(PRESS RELEASE) ESSEN, 14-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — RWE has secured contracts for two onshore wind projects in France’s latest bidding round (AO 16), awarded by the French Commission for the Regulation of Energy (CRE). With a combined capacity of 41.3 MW, these projects in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Centre-Val de Loire will enhance RWE’s renewable energy presence in the region. The Morgat wind farm, located in Charente-Maritime, will feature two turbines totaling 11.8 MW, while the Pressoirs wind farm in Indre will consist of five turbines with a total capacity of 29.5 MW, collectively supplying green energy to approximately 33,700 residents.
