U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium Howard Gutman visited SABCA’s facilities in Gosselies, Belgium

9-4-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — On March 14, 2013 HE the Ambassador of the United States of America, Howard Gutman, visited SABCA’s facilities located in Gosselies, near Charleroi, Belgium. 

During his visit, Ambassador H. Gutman was introduced to SABCA’s core-activities: manufacturing of structural airframe subassemblies for civil and military aircraft and space launchers, development and manufacturing of mechatronic applications dedicated to aerospace use and the repair and upgrade of military aircraft and aircraft equipments.

SABCA has been a key industrial partner in the F-16 production program since end of the ’70 and holds a Manufacturing Licence Agreement with Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Department of State for the manufacturing of F-16 Wings.

Besides, SABCA Charleroi is a United States Air Force contractor for over three decades, providing in In-Theater Depot support to both U.S. Air Force F-16 and A10 fleets stationed in Europe. In this particular context, Ambassador H. Gutman witnessed SABCA’s work and continuous efforts to provide high quality and dedicated support to USAF planes.

Ambassador Gutman’s visit to SABCA reaffirms the strong relationship existing  for more than 35 years between SABCA and United States Government and Industries and highlights their common interest in exploring new cooperation opportunities.
