This service involves deploying seven additional vessels with a capacity of 7,000 TEUs each from June 30th to early September. The FRENCH PEAK SERVICE will operate with bi-weekly departures, alternating between destinations in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, effectively increasing available capacity by 25% on this highly demanded route.

(PRESS RELEASE) MARSEILLE, 11-Jun-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In response to the surge in maritime transport demand between Asia, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean, the CMA CGM Group has introduced the FRENCH PEAK SERVICE, a specialized seasonal service aimed at meeting this sudden increase. This initiative involves deploying seven additional vessels, each with a capacity of 7,000 TEUs, from June 30th to early September.

The FRENCH PEAK SERVICE will operate with bi-weekly departures from China to alternating destinations in Northern Europe (Le Havre, Antwerp) and the Mediterranean (Fos-sur-Mer, Malta). This strategic rotation aims to optimize connectivity and efficiency along the route.

Beginning on June 30th, 2024, the FRENCH PEAK SERVICE will commence its operations, with the maiden voyage set to depart from the port of Yantian aboard the m/v “APL OREGON”. This innovative service is expected to increase available capacity by 25% on a route that is already experiencing high demand, effectively alleviating pressures on maritime transport supply.

With an additional call every two weeks at either the ports of Le Havre or Fos-sur-Mer, the FRENCH PEAK SERVICE is specifically designed to enhance service to France, catering to the needs of French importers and exporters.
