Ulrika Ritzén Appointed Head of Onshore Wind at Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind

(IN BRIEF) Vattenfall has appointed Ulrika Ritzén as the new Head of Onshore Wind in its Business Area Wind, with her tenure set to begin on November 13, 2023. Ulrika, who brings extensive experience from her time at ABB Group and Hitachi Energy, is described as a passionate leader with a strong business acumen and a commitment to organizational development. She is excited to join Vattenfall, recognizing the company’s values and its prominent position in the energy sector. Helene Biström, Head of Business Area Wind at Vattenfall, expressed confidence in Ulrika’s abilities, highlighting the complexities of the current market environment and the need for her expertise in driving future growth. In the interim, Jaap Kleerebezem will continue to serve as the acting Head of Onshore Wind alongside his role as Director of Operations Onshore.

Ulrika looks back on a long career within ABB Group – where she worked on Offshore Wind Connections amongst others – and lately Hitachi Energy. She is a passionate leader with a strong business mindset, high energy level and drive for business and organisational development.
