(PRESS RELEASE) COLOGNE, 16-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — TÜV Rheinland has once again been awarded Gold status in the EcoVadis sustainability rating, achieving a score of 84 out of 100 and further improving on its performance from the previous year. The result places the international testing, inspection, and certification provider among the top two percent of companies assessed worldwide by EcoVadis, the leading global platform for sustainability evaluations.

The renewed Gold rating reflects TÜV Rheinland’s continued progress in embedding sustainability across its corporate strategy and operational practices. Sustainability plays a central role not only in the company’s internal governance but also in the services it delivers to clients worldwide, supporting safer, more responsible, and more sustainable business practices across industries.

EcoVadis assessments are widely used by companies as part of supplier qualification, tendering processes, and customer due diligence. The rating evaluates sustainability performance across four core areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In the 2025 assessment, TÜV Rheinland achieved scores above 80 points in each of these categories, demonstrating consistently strong performance across all evaluated dimensions.

TÜV Rheinland has participated in the EcoVadis assessment process since 2019 and has achieved at least Gold status for four consecutive years. Over this period, the company has steadily improved its overall score, highlighting a sustained commitment to continuous improvement and transparent sustainability management.

Beyond its own sustainability performance, TÜV Rheinland supports organizations worldwide in advancing their environmental, social, and governance objectives. The company provides testing, certification, and consulting services that help clients improve sustainability across areas such as renewable energy, infrastructure, mobility, consumer products, workplace safety, and corporate governance. Its expertise also extends to emissions measurement, green hydrogen technologies, and the implementation of occupational health and safety standards.

TÜV Rheinland’s sustainability activities are guided by a long-term vision of contributing to a world in which economic development and safety go hand in hand with environmental and social responsibility. As a participant in the United Nations Global Compact since 2006, the company aligns its operations with internationally recognized principles of responsible corporate conduct and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Progress, targets, and initiatives related to sustainability are disclosed annually as part of TÜV Rheinland’s Annual Report, ensuring transparency and accountability for stakeholders and reinforcing the company’s role as a trusted partner for sustainable development.
