Sika strengthens supply chain and regional presence with new production facilities in five high-growth markets

(IN BRIEF) Sika has expanded its global manufacturing network with five new production facilities in the United States, Argentina, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Tanzania, reinforcing its supply chain and increasing capacity in key growth markets. The new sites are designed to support rising regional demand for high-performance construction materials while advancing Sika’s sustainability goals and commitment to customer proximity. Across all five countries, the investments strengthen Sika’s market position, enhance operational efficiency, and support continued expansion in regions experiencing strong construction and infrastructure growth.

(PRESS RELEASE) BAAR, 3-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Sika has reinforced its global manufacturing footprint with the inauguration of five new production facilities across the United States, Argentina, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Tanzania. These investments are designed to expand the company’s output capacity, strengthen supply chain resilience, and ensure closer proximity to customers in high-growth regional markets. Each site has been strategically positioned to respond efficiently to increasing demand for advanced construction solutions while supporting Sika’s long-term commitment to operational flexibility and sustainability.

United States – Deepening presence in a strategic market
In Haines City, Florida, Sika has opened a state-of-the-art concrete admixture plant that incorporates the highest level of automation of any comparable Sika facility in the country. The site will manufacture a comprehensive portfolio of admixture technologies aimed at improving concrete performance, durability, and environmental efficiency. In addition to boosting production capabilities, the plant has been designed with advanced water and waste management systems, which are expected to reduce carbon emissions by around 8,000 tons by 2032, aligning with Sika’s broader sustainability objectives.

Argentina – Strengthening operations in the northeast
Sika has launched a new dry mortar manufacturing facility in Puerto Tirol, in the province of Chaco. The plant will serve Argentina’s northeastern region and represents the company’s eighth production site in the country, reinforcing its more than eight decades of presence in the local market. Following a period of economic volatility, the Argentine construction sector is returning to growth, providing Sika with renewed opportunities to expand market share and deepen relationships with regional customers.

Colombia – Expanding capacity in a key industrial region
A newly constructed manufacturing plant in Cali will support Sika’s growth across Colombia’s rapidly developing construction and infrastructure sectors. Located in a region that accounts for roughly 30 percent of national GDP and 20 percent of the population, the facility will produce mortars, tile adhesives, interior wall finishes, acrylic coatings, and concrete admixtures. The site is also expected to improve Sika’s ability to supply both domestic and export markets with greater efficiency and shorter lead times.

Bangladesh – Serving a fast-expanding construction industry
In Narayanganj, Sika has established a facility dedicated to the production of concrete admixtures and mortars that enhance structural performance and sustainability. The plant will also support rising demand for Sika’s recently introduced high-performance tile adhesives. Bangladesh’s construction sector is experiencing strong momentum, with projected annual growth exceeding seven percent between 2026 and 2029, driven by large-scale investments in infrastructure, energy, education, and housing.

Tanzania – Broadening reach across East Africa
Sika’s new production site in Mwanza strengthens its presence in East Africa, a region marked by rapid urbanisation, mining activity, and infrastructure development. The facility manufactures mortars, admixtures, specialised grouts for mining and construction, and grinding aids for cement production. Its strategic location enables Sika to serve local customers while also supplying neighbouring markets such as Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Tanzania’s construction industry is expected to continue growing at a mid-to-high single-digit rate in the coming years, further underpinning the rationale for this investment.
