The total dividend payout would amount to approximately €2.741 billion, reflecting a payout ratio of 51.9%. SAP’s dividend policy ensures appropriate distribution of profits, with a commitment to paying at least 40% of non-IFRS profit after tax.

(PRESS RELEASE) WALLDORF, 20-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) has announced that both its Supervisory Board and Executive Board are recommending a dividend of €2.35 per share for the fiscal year 2024. This proposal marks a 6.8% increase over the previous year’s dividend of €2.20 per share, reflecting the company’s strong financial performance.

Should the proposed dividend be approved by shareholders during SAP SE’s Annual General Meeting on May 13, 2025, and assuming no changes in the company’s treasury shares as of December 31, 2024, the total payout would amount to approximately €2.741 billion. This represents an increase from the €2.565 billion distributed in 2023 and corresponds to a payout ratio of 51.9%, up from 43.0% in 2023.

SAP’s decision to raise the dividend reflects its commitment to sharing the benefits of its 2024 profits with shareholders. The company adheres to a dividend policy that aims to distribute at least 40% of its non-IFRS profit after tax from continuing operations to shareholders.

Key Dates for Dividend Payment
For shareholders, the following key dates are important for the dividend process:

  • Record date for dividend payment: May 13, 2025
  • Ex-dividend date: May 14, 2025
  • Payment date: May 16, 2025

Important Information for SAP ADR Holders
Holders of SAP ADRs (American Depositary Receipts) should note that each SAP ADR represents one SAP SE share. The final dividend amount for ADR holders will depend on the euro/US dollar exchange rate at the time of payment. Since SAP SE pays its dividends in euro, fluctuations in the exchange rate will affect the amount received by ADR holders in US dollars. The final dividend payment to the depositary bank is scheduled for May 16, 2025, with the depositary bank converting the payment from euro to US dollars as quickly as possible.
