Oberthur Technologies and transport authority of Montreal La Société de Transport de Montréal renewed their six-year partnership

Furthermore, last month, both companies celebrated the 5,000,000th card distributed in the city.

STM (La Société de Transport de Montréal) and other operators in the Montreal area and in the Quebec region, transport more than 900,000 travellers every day, by metro, tram, buses and ferries using the OPUS card.

Oberthur Technologies provides STM and its partners its CityGo card, a multi-service dual interface card for ticketing and city applications, fully compliant with the Calypso™ international standard. The cards are made of PET-F, a highly durable plastic, essential for transport cards which are expected to last 7 years after issuance. Oberthur Technologies’ contactless card provides the end-users with a more convenient and secure transportation experience.
