Nucleus Strengthens Board with Appointment of Transformation and Risk Committee Chairs

(IN BRIEF) Nucleus Financial Platforms has appointed Gail Bragg as Transformation Committee Chair and Alastair Clarkson as Risk Committee Chair, filling two Non-Executive Director roles. Bragg brings deep transformation and governance expertise from leading UK financial services and public-sector boards, including Interactive Investor and Alliance Trust Savings, and currently chairs the Transformation Committee at The Finli Group. Clarkson, formerly of Curtis Banks and a veteran of Scottish Provident and Standard Life/Aberdeen Group, will succeed Clare Bousfield in overseeing risk. Gail Bragg joins to chair a newly established Transformation Committee, overseeing the execution of the group’s change agenda, while Alastair Clarkson will lead the Risk Committee*, succeeding Clare Bousfield, who has stepped down.

Gail Bragg brings extensive non-executive and committee-chair experience from across financial services, the charity sector, and public bodies. She has overseen transformation, integration, and remuneration at Interactive Investor and Alliance Trust Savings, and held senior roles at FTSE-100 firms including AXA, Friends Life, and NatWest/RBS, focusing on business improvement. She currently serves on the board of adviser consolidator The Finli Group**, where she also chairs the Transformation Committee.

Alastair Clarkson has spent the past three years on the Curtis Banks board, continuing to chair several of its subsidiaries following the 2023 acquisition. His deep expertise spans risk management and finance, developed over a 25-year executive career at Scottish Provident and the Standard Life/Aberdeen Group, as well as leadership roles with corporate, professional, and charitable boards.
