Company leaders emphasized the shared culture of innovation between Mistra-Autex and ANDRITZ as a foundation for long-term collaboration.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 21-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Mistra-Autex AS, a leading European supplier of nonwoven and tufted carpet products for the automotive sector, has selected ANDRITZ to supply a complete needlepunch production line for its facility in Raasiku, Estonia. The new line, scheduled to begin operations by the end of the third quarter of 2026, will significantly expand the company’s capabilities in producing advanced nonwovens for surface applications, 3D molding, and other technical uses.

The comprehensive scope of supply includes all equipment from the carding stage through to the end-of-line section. At the heart of the line is the patented ANDRITZ ProWin™ web optimization system, designed in a closed-loop configuration to ensure optimal fiber distribution and consistently high product quality.

With this investment, Mistra-Autex is set to achieve a step-change in efficiency, expecting productivity to increase more than fivefold. The upgrade also strengthens the company’s commitment to innovation, while enabling cost efficiency and faster return on investment.

Priit Tamm, owner of Mistra-Autex, expressed confidence in the project:
“We trust ANDRITZ to renew our needlepunch equipment and appreciate their technological expertise throughout this important project. Sharing the same innovation-driven mindset, we believe this is the beginning of a long-term, successful collaboration.”

Mark Raja, R&D Director at Mistra, highlighted the advantages of the new system:
“ANDRITZ’s technology not only delivers excellent product quality but also boosts line speed and reduces operational costs. The ProWin™ system minimizes fiber deposits at the edges, improves the CV ratio, and results in up to 10% fiber savings. This brings higher efficiency, faster production, and ultimately a quicker ROI.”

The order, booked in the first quarter of 2025, further positions Mistra-Autex as a forward-looking supplier for the automotive industry.
