(IN BRIEF) MAN Truck & Bus has partnered with UTA Edenred to launch MAN SimplePay, a digital platform designed to simplify fleet cost management and enhance operational transparency. Launching in late 2024, the platform will enable fleet managers to monitor fuel and operational costs while offering drivers contactless payment options through the MAN Driver App. This collaboration will streamline payment processes for refueling, parking, and truck washing, and includes UTA fuel card integration. The platform also supports faster repair approvals during breakdowns, increasing efficiency.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 26-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — MAN Truck & Bus has teamed up with UTA Edenred, a leading European mobility service provider, to introduce MAN SimplePay—a new digital platform designed to streamline cost management for fleet operators. The platform, set to launch in Q4 2024, will offer full transparency on operational expenses while minimizing administrative effort and enabling contactless transactions, significantly improving fleet management and driver efficiency.

Through this collaboration, the MAN SimplePay platform will digitally store fuel and charging cards, enabling fleet managers to prioritize vehicle expenses. This user-friendly platform, hosted on the RIO platform, will consolidate daily operational costs such as refueling, parking, and washing, allowing for a clear overview of all fleet expenses. The integration of UTA fuel cards further enhances the system, offering a comprehensive summary of all transactions, even for vehicles from other manufacturers.

“MAN SimplePay aligns with our mission of simplifying business operations for our customers,” says Kerstin Rummel, Senior Vice President Commercial Service Operations at MAN Truck & Bus. “By centralizing fleet costs and enabling contactless transactions, we increase both efficiency and transparency while simplifying the driver’s daily tasks.”

A standout feature of the platform is its contactless payment function, accessible via the MAN Driver App. Drivers can locate services such as fuel stations, parking spots, and truck washes within the TRAVIS Road Services network and complete transactions directly through the app or the truck’s infotainment system, eliminating the need to visit physical checkouts and adding an extra layer of security.

Pierre Jalady, CEO of UTA Edenred and General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA, shared: “At UTA Edenred, we aim to make mobility across Europe smarter, more efficient, and sustainable. Collaborating with MAN Truck & Bus to develop the MAN SimplePay platform is a crucial step toward enhancing digital mobility experiences for fleet operators.”

With UTA Edenred’s extensive network of 85,000 acceptance points across 40 countries, including 3,500 fuel stations in Germany, Austria, Italy, and Belgium that support contactless transactions, MAN SimplePay is set to expand its coverage in the coming months.

In the event of vehicle breakdowns, the platform’s automatic cost approval feature ensures swift and seamless processing through MAN Mobile24, accelerating repairs and reducing downtime for fleet operators.
