Glencore Releases 2023 Sustainability Report Highlighting Commitment to ESG Principles

(IN BRIEF) Glencore plc unveiled its 2023 Sustainability Report, emphasizing its dedication to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The report outlines the company’s progress in various sustainability-related areas, including its approach, performance, and activities throughout the year. Case studies spotlight the efforts of Glencore’s commodity departments to enhance performance in industrial activities. Kalidas Madhavpeddi, Chairman, highlighted the company’s comprehensive sustainability approach, supported by policies, standards, and procedures, while Gary Nagle, Chief Executive Officer, underscored Glencore’s commitment to transparently engaging stakeholders on responsible business practices. Alongside the Sustainability Report, Glencore also released its 2023 ESG Data Book, providing detailed information and metrics to further showcase its sustainability efforts.

As in previous years, this year’s Sustainability Report covers the material sustainability-related topics that are not covered in detail in our other publications. In addition to providing an overview of the approach, performance and activities during the year for each of the included topics, we include case studies on the work undertaken by our commodity departments to drive improved performance in our industrial activities.
