Gasum appoints experienced energy finance leader Mikko Jaatinen as Chief Financial Officer

(IN BRIEF) Gasum has appointed finance executive Mikko Jaatinen as CFO and member of the Management Team. He joins from Coolbrook and previously spent over ten years in finance roles at Neste. Jaatinen replaces Kai Laitinen, who leaves the position in the autumn after contributing significantly to Gasum’s strategic development. CEO Mika Wiljanen thanked Laitinen for his leadership and welcomed Jaatinen’s sector expertise and financial acumen. Jaatinen will take up his new role by early December, supporting Gasum’s ambition to further strengthen its footprint in the Nordic energy market.

(PRESS RELEASE) ESPOO, 1-Sept-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Gasum has named Mikko Jaatinen as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with a seat on the Gasum Management Team. Jaatinen brings broad energy-sector finance experience, joining from Finnish technology and engineering company Coolbrook, and previously spending more than a decade at Neste, where he held multiple senior finance roles across the listed energy group’s operations.

Jaatinen will succeed Kai Laitinen, who will depart his role during the autumn after playing a pivotal part in Gasum’s strategic development and transformation. The handover ensures continuity in the company’s financial leadership as Gasum advances its position in Nordic energy markets.
