(PRESS RELEASE) AUGSBURG, 23-Jul-202— /EuropaWire/ — From September 10 to 14, 2024, the spotlight at AMB in Stuttgart will be on metalworking. KUKA, at Booth C71 in Hall 6, will showcase the seamless integration of robots using their KUKA.PLC mxAutomation software and the dynamic capabilities of mobile robotics, aligning with their theme “Industrial Intelligence_your World of Automation”.

Elevating Machine Tools to New Heights

The metalworking industry is increasingly feeling the pinch from the shortage of skilled workers. Automation stands as a vital solution, alleviating labor demands across various stages: from pallet loading and unloading, and transportation to processing machines, to actual processing and deburring.

The Mobility Area: From Deburring to Transportation

In the Mobility Area, KUKA, alongside its partners, will illustrate the advancements in metalworking brought about by the synergy between robotics and machine tools. WMS-Engineering GmbH will demonstrate automated component deburring on the compact KR IONTEC 50, while the MAIROFlex CYBERTECH from MAIROTEC will showcase its multifunctionality in quality control and high-performance bin picking. The robot adeptly picks components from a box for subsequent processing.

The autonomous KMP 1500P robot will exhibit its capability to independently transport parts within production settings. In partnership with BEC GmbH, fair attendees will witness the automatic tool change on the KMR iisy. Additionally, the KMP 1500P autonomous mobile platform will reliably transport materials between locations.

High-Performance Robots: Tailored Solutions for Every Requirement

KUKA will introduce three powerful robots at the Stuttgart event:

  • The KR QUANTEC, known for its robustness and flexibility, adeptly handles tasks such as palletizing and assembly.
  • The compact and efficient KR FORTEC ultra, offering significant support to machine tools.
  • The KR AGILUS, a versatile six-axis robot, capable of achieving high operating speeds even in confined spaces.

User-Friendly Software for Rapid Integration and Monitoring

KUKA’s robotic solutions, integrated with KUKA.PLC mxAutomation software, promise intuitive, fast, and seamless integration. This interface allows robots to be programmed and operated within a familiar control environment. The intelligent KUKA iiQoT software platform enhances data-based automation during operations, consolidating information on system management, maintenance, fault detection, and condition monitoring into a clear, user-friendly dashboard.
