Expanded Google Cloud tie-up brings Nokia’s network AI suite anywhere customers need it

Expanded Google Cloud tie-up brings Nokia’s network AI suite anywhere customers need it

(IN BRIEF) Nokia’s Autonomous Network Fabric unites telco-trained AI models, integrated security, data-mesh management and AI apps into a cohesive intelligence layer that automates and secures multi-vendor, cloud-native networks. The expanded partnership with Google Cloud enables deployment as a SaaS on Google Cloud, on-premises with Google Distributed Cloud or in hybrid environments, harnessing Vertex AI and BigQuery for real-time monitoring, anomaly detection and zero-touch remediation. Features such as low-code data-product creation, 360-degree observability and explainable AI workflows empower operators to accelerate service delivery, optimize operations and enhance network resilience.

(PRESS RELEASE) ESPOO, 19-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Nokia has unveiled its Autonomous Network Fabric, an end-to-end intelligence layer designed to fast-track full network automation across multi-vendor, cloud-native environments. The solution combines a library of cross-domain, correlated data products with telco-trained AI models (including LLMs, LAMs and ML), built-in security and purpose-built AI applications to orchestrate observability, analytics and automated workflows. By treating the network as a single adaptive system—regardless of vendor or deployment—operators can simplify automation at scale, accelerate service roll-outs and drive down operational costs.

In a deepened alliance with Google Cloud, Nokia will make the Autonomous Network Fabric available as a SaaS offering on Google Cloud, deployable on-premises via Google Distributed Cloud or in hybrid configurations. The fabric leverages Google’s generative AI tools such as Vertex AI and BigQuery to power agent-driven workflows, supporting real-time traffic monitoring, anomaly detection, zero-touch remediation and elastic scaling for disaster recovery. Built on unified data management with a mesh architecture, 360-degree observability and explainable AI, the fabric enables operators to rapidly design and reuse data products in low-code environments and understand precisely how AI-driven decisions are made.

Andy Hicks from GlobalData underscores that as networks evolve, diverse AI techniques—from classical algorithms to language-based agents—must collaborate to meet operators’ needs. Nokia’s SVP Kal De emphasizes that robust data is foundational to autonomous networks, while Google Cloud’s Muninder Singh Sambi highlights the partnership’s goal of turning telecom data into predictable, high-performance networks.
