ENGIE’s CEO Isabelle Kocher has signed a new Performance Pact on Monday 15 April 2019 in the presence of Roxana Maracineanu, who is the French Minister for Sport.

The young hopeful athletes becoming new ambassadors for ENGIE are as follows: Cassandre Beaugrand (22, triathlon), Madeleine Malonga (24, judo) and Luka Mkheidze (22, judo), who join experienced athletes such as Elodie Clouvel (29, modern pentathlon), Pauline Ado (27, surfing), Marie Riou (37, sailing), Billy Besson (37, sailing) and Pierre Le Coq (29, Bronze Medal winner in windsurfing at the 2016 Rio Olympics and already supported by the Group under the first Performance Pact).

The Performance Pact, which was established in 2014 by the Ministry for Sport, is designed to support the athletic and professional careers of athletes aiming for Olympics and Paralympics selection.

ENGIE has joined the scheme at the outset, providing support to five athletes helping them to qualify and prepare for the Olympic games in Rio (Brazil).

ENGIE has been supporting the French sport for over 27 years, and now has  committed its support once again. ENGIE is pledging its financial support to these eight athletes from the French Olympics team with a contribution of €20,000 per athlete per year, for a period of two years. The Performance Pact is a mechanism, which is supported by the Ministry of Sports, that sets a financial support capped at 20,000 euros net / athlete / year. Therefore, ENGIE’s support for sports and its values is aligned with our commitment to harmonious progress.
