(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 6-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — DNV has officially opened its new London Cruise Centre, reinforcing its commitment to providing dedicated, time-zone-aligned technical and operational support for cruise owners, operators, ports, and shipyards across the UK, Europe, and beyond. The centre will act as a hub for collaboration, bringing together global cruise expertise and local insight to help stakeholders navigate the cruise industry’s rapid transformation toward greener, smarter, and safer operations.

With the UK becoming one of the most dynamic hubs for the global cruise sector, operators are driving investment in modernization, alternative fuels, digital systems, and energy-efficient ship designs. The London Cruise Centre will enable DNV to work more closely with these industry leaders, supporting them in managing regulatory challenges, advancing sustainability efforts, and accelerating digitalization across their fleets.

“Cruise is changing fast – with greener fuels, new propulsion systems, advanced digital tools, and more complex and demanding regulations setting new expectations,” said Alberto Manfredini, Head of the London Cruise Centre. “The new centre ensures that our customers can access the services they need through a single point of contact backed by DNV’s world-class expertise. It’s about connecting local presence with global technical strength to deliver seamless, real-time support.”

The London Cruise Centre offers an integrated portfolio of services, including classification, risk management, energy efficiency assessments, cyber security, and newbuilding support. These will be provided in close coordination with DNV’s technical teams in Europe, North America, and Asia, ensuring clients benefit from both immediate local engagement and access to DNV’s full network of cruise specialists.

Robert Galinski, DNV’s Global Business Director for Cruise, added: “We are expanding our footprint in a way that keeps customers closer to the experts they need. The London Cruise Centre combines DNV’s global network, technical depth, and local knowledge to help operators make informed decisions quickly. This model, inspired by our Miami Centre, ensures that our European customers receive consistent, practical solutions that enhance safety, reduce risk, and drive innovation – all in the same time zone.”

Through this new hub, DNV continues to position itself as a trusted partner in helping the cruise sector decarbonize, digitalize, and adapt to the evolving landscape of maritime regulation and sustainability.
