Atos SE extends with 5 years IT services contract with clearing house LCH.Clearnet

Paris, France, 3-2-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Atos, an international IT services company, announces the extension for the next five years of its IT services contract with the clearing house LCH.Clearnet.

Under this new contract, Atos will supply systems integration and managed services for LCH.Clearnet’s core clearing business activity with the UCS (Universal Clearing and Settlement System) solution. Atos will also provide hosting of the applications in its own data centres, as well as application and production management.

This contract renewal follows the successful development and implementation of UCS on the equity markets in 2010 and on the derivatives markets in 2012, as well as other IT system applications (Risk Management, Dataware House, Pre-Settlement). The new clearing platform for stocks, obligations and derivatives products will enable LCH.Clearnet to double the number of transactions per day to up to 6 million transactions per day, while preserving the company’s technological leadership in a very competitive market. Developments in the area of Credit Derivatives for the CDSClear offering (Credit Default Swap – CDS) are also included in this new contract.

The service meets all business and technical requirements of LCH.Clearnet as well as European regulations, particularly with regard to operational availability.

”Our solution is designed to further limit operational risks while improving the infrastructure’s flexibility and scalability. We are delighted with our renewed agreements with LCH.Clearnet and that our expertise in this field is recognised in the financial marketplace”, says Jean-Marie Simon, CEO of Atos France.
