(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has successfully launched a new pressurized refining system at the Wisewoods mill in Phetchaburi, Thailand, enhancing the mill’s production capacity for high-quality medium density fiberboard from rubberwood. The system’s high-efficiency technology improves fiber quality while reducing energy consumption.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 26-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ, the global technology group, has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art pressurized refining system at Wisewoods’ mill in Phetchaburi, Thailand. This advanced system is designed to produce fibers from rubberwood, significantly boosting the mill’s capacity to produce high-quality medium density fiberboard (MDF).

At the core of the system is a high-efficiency pressurized refiner, which not only ensures exceptional fiber quality but also lowers energy consumption. To optimize the entire refining process, ANDRITZ also provided a plug-screw feeder to improve dewatering before refining. This addition facilitates better pre-steaming, contributing to a reduction in specific energy use and enhancing overall system efficiency.
