ANDRITZ AG Nominates Barbara Steger for Supervisory Board and Proposes Re-election of Wolfgang Bernhard

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 26-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — The Supervisory Board of ANDRITZ AG has put forward Barbara Steger as a candidate for election to its Supervisory Board during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for March 27, 2025. If elected, she will succeed Alexander Isola, who has decided to step down after serving on the board since 2016. The Board expressed its gratitude for Isola’s significant contributions and leadership throughout his tenure.

Barbara Steger, born in 1980, brings a wealth of experience in both law and management, with a strong background in the industrial sector. After completing her studies in law and commercial sciences, she launched her career at the Viennese law firm Schönherr Rechtsanwälte. In 2013, she joined Engel Group, a prominent global provider of injection molding machines. There, she held several key leadership positions, including Managing Director of Ludwig Engel GmbH & Co KG from 2016 to 2023. Additionally, Steger served as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Boards of ENGEL Holding GmbH and ENGEL Austria GmbH between 2020 and 2022, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, particularly in sustainability, as well as in optimizing its governance and legal structure. Furthermore, from 2014 to 2022, she was a member of the Supervisory Board and the Legal Committee of Oberbank AG.

Should the shareholders approve Steger’s appointment, three of the six elected members of the ANDRITZ AG Supervisory Board will be women, reflecting the company’s commitment to diversity.

In addition to the nomination of Barbara Steger, the Supervisory Board will also propose the re-election of Wolfgang Bernhard, whose current term ends with the upcoming AGM. Bernhard has been an active member of the Supervisory Board since 2020, contributing valuable insights and leadership to the company.
