AF Gruppen Subsidiary HMB Awarded SEK 138 Million Contract to Build New Care Homes in Eskilstuna

(IN BRIEF) HMB, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has been awarded a SEK 138 million contract by Eskilstuna Kommunfastigheter AB to build a new care home complex in Eskilstuna. The Gillet 1 project will feature a four-story building with 72 studio apartments, communal areas, and facilities like a gym, spa, and restaurant. The design includes an inner courtyard with walkways and seating areas. Construction will begin in March/April 2025, and the project is expected to be completed by November 2026. (PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 30-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — HMB, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has secured a contract with Eskilstuna Kommunfastigheter AB to construct a new care home in Eskilstuna, with a total contract value of SEK 138 million excluding VAT. The project, which will be executed as a turnkey contract, involves the development of the Gillet 1 care homes, a modern four-story building designed to provide high-quality residential spaces for the elderly.

The facility will feature 72 studio apartments, alongside communal kitchens, living rooms, staff rooms, and a garage. In addition to these essential spaces, the care home will offer a range of amenities designed to enhance residents’ well-being, including a gym, a spa, a large kitchen, and a restaurant. The outdoor common areas will also be designed with comfort in mind, featuring a pleasant inner courtyard complete with walkways, seating areas, and a barbecue space, ensuring a vibrant and welcoming living environment for the elderly.
