(PRESS RELEASE) ZURICH / SYDNEY, 20-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has entered into an agreement to acquire the Global Trade Credit and Surety business of QBE Insurance Group, a move designed to broaden its specialty insurance capabilities and reinforce its support for corporate risk management. The transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, is expected to enhance Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ ability to serve clients seeking protection against payment defaults and performance-related risks.

Once completed, the acquisition will add scale and expertise to Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ primary credit and surety portfolio, aligning with its strategy to diversify offerings and pursue new avenues for growth. The business being acquired is supported by an experienced team and maintains a strong footprint in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

The portfolio is projected to contribute approximately USD 200 million in annual revenues and will integrate into Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ global platform. Trade credit and surety insurance provide companies with tools to manage risks tied to accounts receivable and contractual obligations, making the segment an important enabler of commercial activity and financial resilience.
