Amanda Dasch and Godson Njoku Join Ørsted’s Executive Team as Part of Strategic Realignment

(IN BRIEF) Effective 1 May 2025, Ørsted is expanding its Group Executive Team with the appointments of Amanda Dasch as Chief Development Officer and Godson Njoku as Chief Generation Officer. Dasch will lead commercial development and strategic functions globally, while Njoku will oversee performance of the company’s European energy-generation assets. These additions reinforce Ørsted’s strategic focus on project execution and competitiveness. With the updated structure, Ørsted will also retire the Deputy CEO function.

(PRESS RELEASE) FREDERICIA, 24-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Ørsted has announced significant changes to its Group Executive Team, welcoming Amanda Dasch and Godson Njoku to key leadership roles effective 1 May 2025. The appointments aim to reinforce Ørsted’s sharpened strategic emphasis on operational excellence and core business performance, with both new executives bringing extensive experience from the global energy sector.

Amanda Dasch, currently serving as CEO of Ørsted’s Region Americas, will step into the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO). In her new position, she will lead Ørsted Commercial, encompassing regional commercial development in Europe, the Americas, and APAC, as well as overseeing Trading & Revenue, Group Strategy & Innovation, and Group Stakeholder Relations. Dasch brings two decades of industry experience and will relocate to Denmark while continuing to serve as interim CEO for Region Americas until a successor is named.

Joining as Chief Generation Officer (CGO), Godson Njoku will oversee Ørsted Generation and assume responsibility for the performance of the company’s European energy-generating assets. Njoku previously spent 20 years with Shell, where he held several high-ranking executive roles, including Executive Vice President responsible for Global Production Excellence.
