(PRESS RELEASE) WERDOHL, 27-Oct-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Vossloh AG has further strengthened its role as a trusted partner in China’s expanding high-speed rail network, securing a new contract valued at nearly €20 million. The company’s Chinese subsidiary, Vossloh Fastening Systems China Co. Ltd., will supply advanced rail fastening systems for a section of the new high-speed railway line connecting Xining in northwestern China with Chengdu in the southwest. Deliveries for the project are planned for 2027.

The Xining–Chengdu line represents a major infrastructure initiative designed to improve connectivity between two of China’s key economic regions. The route, which traverses complex mountainous terrain and significant altitude variations, will demand high levels of technical precision and durability from the rail infrastructure.

Commenting on the new order, Oliver Schuster, CEO of Vossloh AG, said: “With the ongoing expansion of the world’s largest high-speed rail network, China continues to set global standards for innovation and engineering excellence. High-speed lines such as this require advanced technology and exacting quality standards. We are proud to contribute to this impressive national project and support the development of sustainable, future-oriented mobility.”

Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, is an industrial and cultural center, while Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is a dynamic metropolis with more than 20 million residents and a major hub for technology and innovation. The new high-speed connection is expected to enhance regional integration and improve logistics across a geographically demanding corridor, fostering economic growth and accessibility.
