(PRESS RELEASE) FORNEBU, 13-Jan-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Telenor Group has appointed Jon Omund Revhaug as the new Head of Telenor Asia and Sigvart Voss Eriksen as Head of Telenor Nordics, effective no later than the end of April. Both executives bring a wealth of telecommunications expertise and a strong customer-focused leadership approach to their respective regions, with both having extensive experience within Telenor. These appointments are seen as key to advancing the company’s strategic goals in two of its most important markets.

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer, President and CEO of Telenor Group, highlighted the executives’ proven ability to drive customer excellence and foster high-performing teams. “Sigvart and Jon Omund both possess exceptional skills in leading diverse teams across multiple markets, and their track records in building strong cultures and driving operational success make them ideal candidates to lead these crucial areas of our business,” she said.

Sigvart Voss Eriksen, who is currently CEO of Omny, a cybersecurity company jointly owned by Aker and Telenor, brings significant experience to his new role. With an extensive background in customer-facing transformations at various Telenor subsidiaries, he has also overseen the successful turnaround and sale of Tapad in the U.S. to Experian. Schilbred Fasmer emphasized his leadership in cybersecurity and scalable technology as critical to Telenor Nordics’ future. “Sigvart’s ability to drive operational excellence and competitiveness, especially in areas like cybersecurity, will be pivotal to maintaining our leadership in the Nordics,” she noted.

Eriksen expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Telenor, stating, “I’m thrilled to bring my experience in telecommunications and secure, scalable digital infrastructure back to Telenor. I look forward to continuing the work of delivering innovative and efficient services that drive growth.”

Meanwhile, Jon Omund Revhaug, a Telenor veteran with 24 years of experience, is set to return to Asia to lead operations in a region vital to the company’s growth.
