Swisscom Launches Enhanced Security Packages and New Kids Subscriptions to Boost Digital Protection and Connectivity

(IN BRIEF) Swisscom expands its digital offerings with new security packages and mobile subscriptions for children, providing enhanced protection for family devices, including a VPN, identity monitoring, and improved parental controls, all while maintaining affordable pricing.

(PRESS RELEASE) BERN, 26-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Swisscom has significantly expanded its family and security services with the introduction of new and enhanced offerings designed to protect customers’ digital lives and provide tailored mobile solutions for children. The company has launched upgraded security packages, ranging from S to L, and two new Kids Mobile subscriptions—blue Kids Mobile and blue Kids Watch—catering to the unique needs of younger users.

The newly revamped blue Security & Service packages offer increased protection for up to ten devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. These packages, which remain at the same price as previous offerings (starting at CHF 9.90/month for blue Security & Service S), now include more comprehensive services. Customers benefit from heightened protection against cyber threats such as viruses, hackers, and spyware, as well as identity monitoring. This feature checks email addresses and other personal information against potential data leaks on the internet and dark web, helping to mitigate the risks of identity theft. Additionally, these packages come with a VPN for secure browsing in public networks and advanced safeguards against online fraud, including phishing, SMS fraud, and malicious websites. All security features can be managed easily through the My Security app.

For families, Swisscom has introduced specific tools within My Security to help parents manage their children’s online safety. With integrated parental controls, parents can limit internet access by blocking certain websites or setting up profiles to control access. The service also enables the creation of blacklists and whitelists to individually allow or block websites, as well as set fixed internet usage times for children. All settings can be conveniently managed from the My Security app or via the online portal.

In addition to the enhanced security packages, Swisscom is offering two new Kids subscriptions designed for children under 18 (previously available only for those under 16). These subscriptions come with more data, faster speeds, and discounts as part of the “We are Family!” program. The new blue Kids Mobile subscription, priced at CHF 29.95/month (with a 50% discount to CHF 14.95/month), offers unlimited calls within Switzerland, 8 GB of data (including 5G), and unlimited browsing at a slower speed once the data limit is reached. It also includes 30 minutes of calls, 300 MB of data, and 30 SMS messages for roaming. The blue Kids Watch subscription, priced at CHF 19.95/month (with a 50% discount to CHF 9.95/month), provides similar features tailored for a watch, with 1 GB of data (including 5G) in Switzerland and 30 minutes of calls, 300 MB of data, and 30 SMS for roaming.

Swisscom’s ongoing commitment to supporting families in the digital world is also reflected in its free advisory services available at www.swisscom.ch/campus, where customers can find resources to help children and teenagers navigate the online world safely while promoting media literacy.

With these new initiatives, Swisscom underscores its dedication to delivering secure, flexible, and innovative solutions that help families stay connected while ensuring safety in today’s increasingly digital landscape.
