(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 29-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska has announced a significant investment in Kraków with the launch of Awangarda Mogilska, a new residential development designed to blend modern urban living with sustainable technologies. The company will invest PLN 241 million (approximately SEK 630 million) in the first stage of the project, with a construction contract valued at PLN 143 million (about SEK 380 million), which will be recorded in Skanska’s European order bookings for the third quarter of 2025.

The first phase of Awangarda Mogilska will include a residential building featuring 278 apartments of varying sizes, complemented by six ground-floor commercial units. Located near Kraków’s Main Square and Central Railway Station, the project is positioned to provide residents with convenient access to the city’s cultural and transportation hubs while maintaining an emphasis on comfort and environmental responsibility.

Sustainability is at the heart of the development. The design incorporates photovoltaic panels and a heat recovery system powered by a heat pump to provide hot water efficiently. A rooftop solar plant will generate renewable energy, lowering electricity consumption for residents. Indoor air quality will be enhanced through anti-smog ventilation inlets, and smart home technologies, including the Appartme system, will allow residents to manage heating, appliances, and water usage both remotely and manually.

Construction of the first stage is scheduled to begin in August 2025, with completion expected by March 2028. When finished, the entire Awangarda Mogilska complex will consist of three phases, delivering around 500 apartments to Kraków’s growing housing market.
