(IN BRIEF) SGS has announced its acquisition of Institut d’Expertise Clinique (IEC), a prominent Clinical Research Organization specializing in advanced clinical testing for the cosmetics industry. Founded in 1990 and based in France, IEC operates across Europe, Asia, and Africa, employing nearly 150 full-time staff. The acquisition, pending customary pre-closing conditions, will enhance SGS’s global leadership in cosmetics and hygiene testing.

IEC conducts comprehensive multicentric safety and efficacy studies, in vitro tests, sensory analyses, and consumer tests on dermatological and ophthalmological cosmetic, personal care, and hygiene products.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in France, IEC operates across Europe, Asia, and Africa, serving a prestigious international client base within the cosmetics industry. With nearly 150 full-time employees, IEC is recognized for its scientific expertise and innovative testing capabilities.

The completion of this acquisition is subject to customary pre-closing conditions, including employee consultation procedures in France.
