(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 8-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Schroders has announced the appointment of Phil Middleton as Head of UK, effective January 1, 2025. Middleton, who has been with Schroders for over three decades, brings a wealth of experience from his extensive work in the UK market and recent roles in the Americas. Since joining Schroders in 1992, he has held numerous positions in distribution and marketing across the business.

In 2020, Middleton relocated to New York as Head of Institutional Distribution for North America, later becoming CEO of North America in January 2022, and CEO of the Americas in June 2023. His return to the UK will allow him to lead Schroders’ UK operations, focusing on growth and delivering solutions for clients.

Tom Darnowski, formerly the Global Head of Product Strategy, will take over as CEO Americas. Since joining Schroders in 2013, Darnowski has led product development efforts across the Americas, demonstrating significant commitment to meeting client needs and evolving the firm’s product offerings.

Both Middleton and Darnowski will report to Karine Szenberg, Global Head of Client Group at Schroders. Commenting on the appointments, Szenberg praised Middleton’s contributions to Schroders’ success in the Americas, noting that his deep familiarity with the UK market makes him an ideal choice for this role. She also commended Darnowski’s leadership and deep knowledge of the Americas business, expressing confidence in his ability to continue driving growth in the region.

James Rainbow, the current Head of UK, will be departing Schroders after 17 years to explore new opportunities. The company expressed gratitude for his impactful contributions during his tenure.
