Scania strengthens global strategy and commercial focus with senior leadership changes

(IN BRIEF) Scania has announced three new Executive Vice Presidents as part of a major organisational transformation aimed at increasing agility, strengthening customer focus and ensuring long-term competitiveness in a fast-changing global transport industry. The company will unify Sales and Marketing with Commercial Operations to create Scania Commercial, led by Stefano Fedel from January 2026. To deepen its strategic presence in China, Camilla Dewoon has been appointed EVP and Head of Scania Group China. Scania is also merging Strategy and Corporate Management with Communications and Sustainability into a new function, Strategy and Communications, to be headed by Anna Carmo e Silva starting in December. CEO Christian Levin says these changes will streamline operations, enhance strategic alignment and equip Scania to respond more effectively to market trends, including technological innovation and regional market shifts. The Executive Board remains the same size, with structural adjustments reflecting the company’s new direction.

(PRESS RELEASE) SÖDERTÄLJE, 24-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Scania has announced three senior executive appointments as part of a broader organisational shift designed to accelerate performance, respond to rapidly changing market conditions and sharpen the company’s long-term competitiveness. With the transport and mobility industry undergoing major transformation driven by new technologies, regionalisation and evolving market dynamics, Scania is restructuring its organisation and operational model to boost value creation, increase agility and simplify processes.

A unified commercial structure: Scania Commercial

As previously communicated, Scania will bring Sales and Marketing together with Commercial Operations to create a single global commercial organisation called Scania Commercial, effective 1 January 2026. The new consolidated function will integrate global market strategies, commercial development and execution to intensify customer focus and deliver more efficient ways of working.

The unit will be led by Stefano Fedel, newly appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Commercial. Born in 1970 and holding a degree in Engineering of Materials, Fedel joined Scania in 2001 and has served in multiple senior positions across international markets. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing.

“Stefano brings valuable experience of our customers in markets around the world, in addition to a strong commercial mindset and solid international leadership,” said Christian Levin, President and CEO of Scania. “His ability to turn strategy into real business results makes him well suited to lead a unified Scania Commercial and strengthen our commercial position globally.”

Strengthening Scania’s strategic presence in China

China continues to be one of the world’s most dynamic and strategically important transport markets — and central to Scania’s long-term global ambitions. To reinforce its regional presence, Scania has appointed Camilla Dewoon as Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Group China, effective 1 January 2026.

Dewoon, born in 1973 and holding a Master of Science in Economics, joined Scania in 1998 and has held leading roles including Head of Communications and Sustainability. She currently serves as Head of China Governance.

“Camilla has a proven track record of building strong brands, driving commercial development and navigating complex international markets,” Levin noted. “She will be instrumental in translating our global priorities into successful local execution and accelerating Scania’s growth in Asia.”

Aligning strategy and communications for greater impact

Scania is also merging Strategy and Corporate Management with Communications and Sustainability to create a new function, Strategy and Communications. This combined unit will reinforce strategic alignment, strengthen company-wide clarity and support a unified corporate voice during a period of rapid industry change.

The new function will be led by Anna Carmo e Silva, appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy and Communications, effective 1 December. Born in 1977 and holding a Master of Science in Engineering, she joined Scania as a trainee more than 20 years ago and has since held multiple strategic and operational leadership roles, most recently as Head of Strategy and Corporate Management.

“Anna has an outstanding ability to connect strategy with real-world execution,” Levin said. “Bringing strategy and communications together will be an enabler for increased efficiency and alignment across the company. Anna will help us move with clarity, speak with one voice and strengthen Scania’s direction through a period of fast change.”

Executive Board structure

The Executive Board will retain its current size, with responsibilities reallocated accordingly. Anna Carmo e Silva will join the Executive Board, and the previous role of Head of Scania Commercial Operations will not be replaced under the new organisational model.
