Salzgitter AG Launches Employee Bike Leasing for Healthier, Greener Commuting

Since its July launch, about 2,000 staff registered and 933 leases were signed—91 percent for e-bikes—at an average gross cost of €4,150 per bicycle. In partnership with Lease a Bike—a 49 percent subsidiary of VW Financial Services—employees can now lease e-bikes, mountain bikes, or road bikes directly through payroll conversion. The program launched in early July and already boasts strong engagement.
