Saku Brewery achieved the biggest export growth in 2012 among members of The Association Of Estonian Food Industry

21-5-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — The Association of Estonian Food Industry announced Saku Brewery as the company that achieved the biggest growth in export turnover in 2012 among the members of the Association.

Saku’s export turnover increased by nearly 50% last year, amounting to more than 22 million euros.

Margus Kastein, Chairman of the Board at Saku Brewery commented that the title awarded by the Association of Estonian Food Industry was a distinguished recognition for the brewery, since export growth is what nearly all companies are aiming towards. Saku’s export consists of direct sales to foreign markets and production for other Carlsberg Group companies. “As the Estonian domestic market has been experiencing a slight decline, export is essential to us. Our company has one of the biggest export proportions in Carlsberg Group. The high quality of both our beverages and packaging and good service have been a prerequisite for this. Competition in this field is extremely tough,” he said.

Saku’s largest export markets are Finland, Poland, the other Baltic countries and Denmark.
