(PRESS RELEASE) DÜSSELDORF, 22-May-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, a subsidiary of Rheinmetall AG, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indra to initiate strategic cooperation on armoured vehicle projects for the Spanish Armed Forces. This collaboration strengthens the already robust partnership between the two companies, which has seen recent successes such as the agreement with Rheinmetall Electronics on the Leopard 2E Combat System.

Rheinmetall, a global leader in the supply of armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles, is renowned for designing and manufacturing cutting-edge vehicles like the Keiler NG Armored Breaching Vehicle. Rheinmetall also plays a pivotal role in the Leopard 2A4 tank, contributing significant technological expertise. Indra has made substantial investments in expanding its capabilities in the integration, production, and transformation of armoured vehicles within Spain.

Through this MoU, Rheinmetall and Indra aim to play a pivotal role in the Spanish Armed Forces’ ongoing efforts to modernize their fleet of combat vehicles, enhancing Spain’s defence capabilities in line with the latest technological advancements.
