(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 11-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — The Nordex Group has released its Integrated Annual Report 2025, presenting the company’s tenth Group Sustainability Statement and providing an overview of the progress made across its environmental, social, and governance initiatives. The report highlights how Nordex continues to advance its sustainability strategy while offering transparency on the company’s key impacts, risks, and opportunities.

One of the most significant outcomes reported for 2025 relates to the climate impact of Nordex wind turbines. Over the course of the year, turbines installed by the company helped prevent approximately 92.2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. This represents the highest level of avoided emissions recorded by the company to date and reflects the growing contribution of wind energy to global decarbonization efforts.

Nordex also reported further reductions in its own operational emissions. Since 2022, the company has lowered its direct greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1) and energy-related emissions (Scope 2) by 36.6 percent. These reductions place the company within the emission reduction pathway defined under the Science Based Targets initiative, demonstrating continued alignment with internationally recognized climate targets.

Progress was also achieved in addressing emissions across the supply chain. The company noted that 33 percent of its relevant suppliers now have Science-Based Targets that have been formally validated. This development represents an important step toward tackling indirect emissions, also referred to as Scope 3 emissions, which typically account for a significant share of the overall climate footprint of industrial companies.

The report also confirms the strong sustainability alignment of Nordex’s business model under the European Union’s sustainability classification framework. According to the EU Taxonomy assessment, all of the company’s revenue in 2025 was considered environmentally sustainable. In addition, more than 92 percent of both capital expenditures and operating expenditures were categorized as aligned with environmentally sustainable economic activities.

Nordex prepared the Sustainability Statement in line with the reporting requirements established under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards. The report also reflects the classification criteria of the EU Taxonomy regulation. It covers the full reporting period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, and consolidates the company’s most significant environmental, social, and governance topics into a single framework.

Alongside the publication of the report, Nordex indicated that the company is nearing completion of the development of its next strategic framework, which will guide operations and priorities from 2026 onward.
