(PRESS RELEASE) GARÕABÆR, 27-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In a strategic move to streamline operations and enhance value for customers, Marel has announced the unification of its Retail and Food Service Solutions (RFS) and Fish divisions under the leadership of Jesper Hjortshoj, Executive Vice President of Retail and Food Service Solutions and Wenger Group. This organizational change is effective immediately.

Jesper Hjortshoj, a seasoned leader with 18 years at Marel, will now oversee both divisions alongside his existing responsibilities with the Wenger Group. This consolidation aims to leverage the complementary strengths of the RFS and Fish portfolios, offering a more robust and cohesive value proposition to Marel’s diverse customer base.

The decision follows the departure of Olafur Sigurdarson, EVP of Fish, who has decided to pursue new opportunities after nine successful years at Marel. Olafur will assist in the transition of responsibilities to Jesper until the end of September.
