Aligned with the Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub, the partnership also extends to staff and students, delivering education days, fittings, and exclusive offers to promote long-term breast health and high-quality support for women of all activity levels at Loughborough University.

(PRESS RELEASE) LOUGHBOROUGH, 19-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Loughborough Lightning Netball and Loughborough Sport have confirmed a new official partnership with specialist sports bra retailer and fitting expert boobydoo, marking a significant step forward in supporting breast health and performance within elite women’s sport. Under the agreement, boobydoo becomes the official sports bra partner of the three-time Netball Super League champions, while also serving as the sports bra fitting and retail partner for the wider Loughborough University sporting community.

Through the collaboration, Lightning athletes and staff will gain access to bespoke educational workshops alongside professional, one-to-one sports bra fitting services delivered by boobydoo’s specialist team. The focus is on ensuring every athlete trains and competes with the appropriate level of support, comfort, and confidence, recognising the essential role that correct breast support plays in high-performance environments.

The partnership closely complements the objectives of Loughborough University’s newly launched Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub, a multi-million-pound initiative dedicated to advancing women’s sport through research-led innovation, applied practice, and long-term sector impact. Together, the initiatives reflect a shared commitment to improving performance, wellbeing, and health outcomes for women across all levels of sport.

Loughborough Lightning Head Coach Vic Burgess highlighted the importance of the collaboration in supporting player welfare and performance, noting that access to high-quality sports bras and expert breast care is a vital yet often underestimated element of elite preparation. By working with boobydoo, the Lightning programme aims to enhance training quality, recovery, and competitive readiness across the squad.

Netball’s high-intensity demands place significant stress on the body, making correct sports bra fit a crucial part of an athlete’s equipment. As part of the partnership, boobydoo will provide access to a broad selection of high-performance sports bra brands and styles, enabling athletes to choose solutions tailored to their individual support requirements and sporting needs.

Beyond elite sport, the partnership will extend across the entire Loughborough Sport campus. Throughout the year, boobydoo will host education sessions and fitting days for staff and students, alongside exclusive offers designed to make professional breast support accessible to all active women at the university. This inclusive approach ensures that recreational participants benefit from the same expertise and high standards as elite athletes.

Boobydoo’s Director of Sports Brands, Charly Rhodes, described the partnership as a meaningful opportunity to deliver long-term impact, supporting elite netball players while also promoting breast health awareness and access to specialist support across the wider Loughborough community, from casual exercisers to high-performance athletes.
