(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 5-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Logicor, a prominent player in the European logistics real estate market, has successfully acquired a logistics platform totaling 12,850 sqm through a forward funding agreement (VEFA) with Concerto, a subsidiary of Kaufman & Broad.

The site is strategically located in Beaucaire, within the Gard region, nestled in the heart of the Mediterranean logistics triangle. It sits between Avignon, Marseille, and Montpellier, offering direct access to the critical French freight transport corridor. Construction on the warehouse is slated to begin in February 2025, with a projected completion date in the first quarter of 2026.

This prime location is part of the Domitia Business Park, a 120-hectare economic hub situated along the right bank of the Rhône River. The new facility will cover nearly 12,850 sqm on a plot spanning almost 4 hectares, including 1.2 hectares designated as green space. The development will consist of two units, each equipped with 17 dock doors. A photovoltaic installation on the rooftop will provide an initial power capacity of 500 kWp, with the potential to expand to 1,000 kWp.

With a focus on sustainability, the development incorporates photovoltaic panels, LED lighting, and electric vehicle charging stations, as well as an emphasis on green spaces. It is set to achieve a BREEAM Excellent environmental certification, aligning with Logicor’s broader strategy to enhance the sustainability of its portfolio.

The project is expected to support the local economy by generating approximately 50 new jobs and contributing to the overall vitality of the region. Positioned along the Rhône River, the site benefits from its proximity to key transport hubs, including Avignon (less than 30 km away), Nîmes-Garons Airport (25 km), and major highways A7, A9, and A54. Additionally, the site’s connection to both rail and river transport provides sustainable freight transport options, offering a significant advantage for future tenants.

Laurent Dubos, Country Manager France, commented: “This acquisition in the Gard region strengthens our position within the logistics market, particularly along the vital corridor of French logistics real estate. We are confident that upon completion, the development will provide tenants with optimal conditions for business operations and growth.”
