Logicor and Solo to Build 28,000 sqm Eco-Friendly Logistics Hub in Bràfim

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 17-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Logicor, a prominent logistics real estate firm in Europe, and Solo, a leading producer and distributor of customized promotional products, have officially broken ground on a Build-to-Suit (BTS) logistics hub in Bràfim, Tarragona. Strategically located in Barcelona’s second logistics ring, the new 28,000 sqm facility will benefit from seamless access to the AP-2 highway and is poised to become a vital economic engine for the region.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Bràfim’s Mayor, Xavier Rius; Mohammed Mohammed, General Manager of Solo; and Pilar Valencia, Logicor’s Country Manager for Spain. The event introduced the project to local officials and national media.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2026. Once operational, the facility will serve as Solo’s new headquarters in Spain, supporting the company’s nationwide expansion and housing over 250 employees—equivalent to nearly 40% of Bràfim’s current population.

“This is the opportunity Bràfim has been waiting for,” said Mayor Rius. “The revitalization of our industrial estate will not only enhance infrastructure but also meet the growing demand for logistics spaces that offer strong connectivity. This project promises to fuel long-term economic development for the area.”

Solo’s state-of-the-art facility will specialize in textile imprinting, employing advanced techniques such as screen printing, transfer printing, and embroidery. Mohammed Mohammed emphasized Solo’s dedication to community development: “We’re not just investing in bricks and mortar; we’re investing in people. This new site marks the beginning of a shared journey with Bràfim.”

Pilar Valencia highlighted Catalonia’s importance as a logistics hub, noting the region’s record-breaking 2024 take-up of over 710,000 sqm. “This innovative project demonstrates how collaboration between public authorities and private companies can transform regional economies. Thanks to the excellent teamwork behind this development, we are delivering a facility tailored to the demands of Industry 4.0, aligned with Solo’s growth trajectory.”

Spanning more than 44,000 sqm of land, the facility will uphold the highest environmental and safety standards. It is designed to meet BREEAM Excellent certification and will include a stormwater reuse system, LED lighting, 12 EV charging stations, and a dedicated bike parking area. Additionally, rooftop solar panels will generate up to 900 kWp of clean energy, reflecting Logicor and Solo’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
