This innovative product integrates seamlessly with electric truck systems, offering silent operation and enhanced energy efficiency. The MULTILIFT eULTIMA is made from MULTILIFT Ultima ZERO™, a fully recycled, fossil carbon emission-free steel, reducing both production and active use emissions. The product will be showcased at the Elmia Lastbil Truck Exhibition, highlighting Hiab’s commitment to sustainability and the future of green logistics.

(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 23-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Hiab, a subsidiary of Cargotec, has launched the MULTILIFT eULTIMA, the first-ever plug-and-play hooklift specifically engineered for electric trucks. This innovative product marks a significant milestone in sustainable transportation, combining advanced technology with a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions.

The MULTILIFT eULTIMA integrates seamlessly with electric truck systems by using the truck’s ePTO for power, ensuring efficient and easy installation. Designed for urban environments, its silent operation, enhanced by noise-reduction technologies such as a white noise buzzer and optimised hydraulic systems, makes it ideal for city centers and nighttime deliveries.

This cutting-edge hooklift also boasts Hiab’s exclusive performance package, which optimizes energy use and boosts operational efficiency. The MULTILIFT eULTIMA is constructed from MULTILIFT Ultima ZERO™, a steel that is entirely recycled and free from fossil carbon emissions. This results in a 15% reduction in production emissions and a 25% decrease in active use emissions. The steel is provided through a partnership with Swedish steelmaker SSAB, and Cargotec plans to expand the use of this sustainable material across more of its product lines.

Additionally, Hiab will introduce the MULTILIFT Value Calculator, a tool designed to help customers evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership, CO2 emissions, Return on Investment, and the environmental benefits of the Performance Package and MULTILIFT ZERO steel.
