Hexagon Partners with Erie County to Enhance Emergency Services with Advanced Cloud-Based Technology

(IN BRIEF) Erie County, NY, has partnered with Hexagon to implement cloud-based computer-aided dispatch, analytics, and records management systems, enhancing emergency response across 100 agencies serving 1 million residents. The upgrade will streamline operations, reduce 911 call transfers, and provide mobile capabilities for first responders, improving service delivery during everyday operations and large-scale emergencies.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 30-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Erie County, New York, has selected Hexagon’s cloud-based computer-aided dispatch (CAD), analytics, and records management systems to enhance emergency response and improve record-keeping across more than 100 public safety agencies serving 1 million residents. This move aims to streamline operations and improve coordination for the county’s 20 emergency communications centers (ECC), which support 30 law enforcement agencies and 98 fire departments/EMS units across 27 municipalities.

The implementation of HxGN OnCall Dispatch, Hexagon’s cutting-edge CAD solution, will consolidate the county’s multiple ECCs into one unified platform. This integration will eliminate the need for multiple 911 call transfers between jurisdictions, speeding up response times and enhancing the service provided to residents.

The system will also equip first responders in the field with mobile access to vital information, including maps and live video, before they arrive at the scene. In addition, the shared system will improve collaboration between agencies during major events, such as professional football games or large-scale emergencies, including the lake-effect blizzards typical of the region’s proximity to Lake Erie.

Alongside the CAD solution, Erie County will deploy HxGN OnCall Analytics, a data visualization and analytics tool, and HxGN OnCall Records, a comprehensive records management system.
