This update enhances the customer experience by integrating GarantiPay and NFC technology alongside the existing TR QR code payment method, allowing users to make instant payments without entering card details. Garanti BBVA customers can now shop at all online stores and mobile apps offering GarantiPay as a payment method, selecting from credit, debit, or virtual cards, with the option to finance eligible purchases.

For Android users, the new NFC feature provides an even more convenient payment option. With the phone’s screen simply turned on, users can make payments without unlocking their device. They only need to hold their phone close to a POS terminal, allowing for a quick and seamless card-free transaction. Alternatively, payments can still be made by scanning the TR QR code at the terminal via the Garanti BBVA Mobile app.
