(IN BRIEF) Digi Communications N.V. has taken a strategic step to enter the UK market by acquiring a 51% stake in Whyfibre Limited through its UK subsidiary Fiber One Ltd. The deal gives Digi control of a fibre network currently being built in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, with plans to soon launch pilot fixed broadband services. This move marks Digi’s expansion beyond its existing operations in Romania, Spain, and other European countries into the United Kingdom telecommunications sector.

(“DIGI”), one of the leading European telecommunications companies, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, would like to inform investors that it has taken the initial steps to enter the telecommunications market in the United Kingdom. On 19 March 2026, its wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in England, Fiber One Ltd., acquired 51% of the share capital of Whyfibre Limited, which owns a fibre network currently under deployment in the counties of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire in southern England (the “Network”). Fiber One Ltd. is the operator of the Network and expects to commence the provision of fixed broadband services on a pilot basis in the near future.
