(IN BRIEF) Borealis has received the Stellantis Supplier of the Year Award for Corporate Social Responsibility and was ranked among the top three Stellantis suppliers for the South America region, marking a notable achievement as the only advanced plastics company recognised across all categories. The award was presented in Paris, where Borealis representatives Eide Garcia and Olivier Raffarin attended the global ceremony. Stellantis praised Borealis for high ethical standards, strong performance delivery and progress in sustainable mobility materials, including the co-developed Borcycle™ GD3600SY recycled PP compound used in the Peugeot 3008. The commendation also recognised Borealis’ ISO-aligned quality systems, EcoVadis Gold rating and circular development initiatives such as Project STOP. The recognition reflects Borealis’ We4Customers strategy and its growing presence in the automotive supply chain, supported by recent PP compounding capacity expansions in Austria and Belgium. The company aims to continue advancing recyclable, low-carbon polymers to support the mobility sector’s transition to circular materials.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 28-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Borealis has been honoured with the Stellantis Supplier of the Year Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category, marking a significant global recognition of the company’s leadership in sustainability and responsible industry practices. In addition to this accomplishment, Borealis was ranked among Stellantis’ top three suppliers in the South America region across all product and service divisions — becoming the only advanced plastics solutions provider to appear on any shortlist this year. The dual recognition reinforces Borealis’ standing as a key mobility sector partner delivering circular, high-performance material innovations.

The award was presented at the Stellantis Global Supplier Recognition Event in Paris, attended by key members of the Borealis Mobility business — Eide Garcia, Managing Director Americas and VP Global PP Compounding, and Olivier Raffarin, Global Automotive OEMs Manager. The ceremony brought together industry leaders and global supply partners, highlighting the importance of collaboration in meeting operational, sustainability and product-advancement objectives across the automotive industry.

During the award presentation, Gilles Testu, Stellantis Global VP for Risk Management and Sustainability, commended Borealis for its strong ethical foundation and the trust-based relationship built between the companies. He underscored Borealis’ consistency in meeting commitments and the value of their shared ambitions in developing sustainable mobility solutions. Testu also recognised the company’s advances in carbon reduction, circularity and material development — reflected in Borealis’ broad portfolio of recycled and circular products designed specifically for mobility applications.

Among standout innovations highlighted was Borcycle™ GD3600SY, a 65% post-consumer recycled polypropylene compound reinforced with glass fibre — co-developed with Plastivaloire and Stellantis for use in the Peugeot 3008. The material demonstrates how close industry cooperation accelerates sustainable design and strengthens adoption of circular plastics in automotive manufacturing.

Further points of recognition included Borealis’ high-quality operational processes, ISO-compliant standards, EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating, and global environmental work through Project STOP — a circular waste-management initiative co-founded with Systemiq to address plastic leakage in Southeast Asia.

Borealis views this achievement as a validation of its We4Customers strategy and the work of teams across the company. The success also reflects Borealis’ continued role as a leading integrated PP compounder in Europe — supported by recent expansion of polypropylene compounding capacity in Schwechat, Austria, and the commissioning of a new semi-commercial recyclate-based polyolefins compounding line in Beringen, Belgium.

Building forward, Borealis remains committed to working closely with automotive partners to advance circular, low-carbon material solutions that align with the future of mobility — progressing sustainability at scale, collaboratively.
