GALLEN, 31-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — The University of St. Gallen (HSG) has announced that Professor Björn Ambos will succeed Professor Reinhard Jung as the new Dean of the School of Management, effective February 1, 2025. This appointment marks an important leadership transition at one of the university’s most prestigious faculties, which houses over 100 faculty members.

Professor Ambos, a respected authority in strategic management, brings decades of academic leadership and international expertise to the role. His distinguished career includes positions at world-renowned institutions, including Bocconi, INSEAD, University of Edinburgh, Queens University, and Singapore Management University. With a PhD from the University of Hamburg and a postdoctoral qualification from WU Vienna, Ambos has also gained industry experience across multiple global regions, including France, Italy, the USA, and Vietnam.
