(PRESS RELEASE) ESPOO, 12-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Metso has strengthened its distributor landscape in France following the acquisition of BPM Construction by BIA Group, one of Metso’s longest-standing distribution partners. The transaction brings together two experienced Metso distributors and is expected to enhance customer proximity, service continuity and long-term support for the construction and aggregates industries across France.

BIA Group, which has represented Metso for more than nine decades, has built a strong presence serving aggregates customers in Belgium and West Africa. By acquiring BPM Construction, BIA expands its footprint into the French market while reinforcing Metso’s distributor network with a partner that combines deep local expertise with international operational capabilities.

BPM Construction, previously operating under the name SAMI TP, has been a trusted Metso distributor in France for many years. The company operates six sites across northern and western France, offering equipment sales, technical services and aftermarket support to customers in the construction and aggregates sectors. Following the transaction, BPM Construction’s operations will be integrated into BIA France, ensuring uninterrupted customer service while benefiting from BIA Group’s broader resources, technical know-how and global reach.

The integration is designed to maintain continuity for existing customers while strengthening service capacity and responsiveness. Customers will continue to access Metso’s full portfolio of solutions and technologies, supported by a reinforced local organization with enhanced aftermarket and service capabilities.

Carlos Padin, Vice President, Distribution Management EMEA at Metso, welcomed the development, noting that the consolidation of BIA Group and BPM Construction further reinforces Metso’s ability to support customers in France. He highlighted that the combined strengths of both distributors will improve service coverage and customer proximity while preserving long-standing customer relationships.

Romain Bia, CEO of BIA Group, said the acquisition marks an important step in the group’s European expansion. He emphasized that the priority is a smooth integration process and maintaining the high service standards that BPM Construction’s customers expect, while continuing BIA Group’s long-term collaboration with Metso.

Through this strengthened distributor structure, Metso aims to further enhance its presence in the French aggregates and construction markets, ensuring customers benefit from strong local support, reliable service delivery and access to advanced equipment and digital solutions.
