(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 4-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Beiersdorf has announced the appointment of Pierre Kröning as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Managing Director of Beiersdorf IT within Beiersdorf Shared Services (BSS), effective September 1, 2025. In his new role, Kröning will report directly to Astrid Hermann, Chief Financial Officer of Beiersdorf AG. He succeeds Annette Hamann, who is leaving the company after many years of dedicated service.

Kröning has been part of Beiersdorf for over two decades, building a career that spans IT, finance, and strategic leadership. Since 2020, he has been working within BSS, most recently as Director of Data & Analytics, Finance & HR Applications. In that position, he was instrumental in advancing Beiersdorf’s digital transformation, including the rollout of a group-wide data and analytics platform and the integration of data-driven decision-making processes across the business.

“Pierre knows Beiersdorf inside and out and has played a vital role in shaping the strategic development of our IT organization in recent years,” said Astrid Hermann, CFO of Beiersdorf AG. “With his strong expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, and enthusiasm for digital innovation, he is the right person to take on this important leadership role.”

In taking over his new responsibilities, Kröning outlined his priorities: “I am honored to lead our global IT organization. Together with our teams, I want to further strengthen IT as a strategic partner that contributes from the outset to development processes across the company. Modern IT is more than a service provider—it is a driver of innovation, efficiency, and growth. Our mission is to embed technology into Beiersdorf’s entire value chain to create meaningful benefits for our brands, our business partners, and our consumers.”

Beiersdorf IT is one of the three business units of Beiersdorf Shared Services GmbH (BSS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Beiersdorf AG.
