BASF and Toyota Motor Europe Partner to Launch Body&Paint Program for Premium Vehicle Refinish Solutions

(IN BRIEF) BASF Coatings and Toyota Motor Europe have launched the Toyota Body&Paint program for Europe, focusing on delivering sustainable and high-quality paint repair solutions for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The program will leverage BASF’s Glasurit and R-M brands, along with Body Shop BOOST consultancy services and the Refinity® platform, to improve repair accuracy, business performance, and sustainability within Toyota’s European body shop network.

(PRESS RELEASE) LUDWIGSHAFEN, 5-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — BASF Coatings and Toyota Motor Europe have entered into a strategic collaboration to develop the Toyota Body&Paint program for Europe, setting the stage for a long-term partnership between the two companies, supporting both Toyota and Lexus brands. As part of this collaboration, BASF will provide premium automotive refinish solutions under its renowned Glasurit® and R-M® brands, leveraging its expertise to enhance the European body shop network. The program will be designed using BASF’s comprehensive Body Shop BOOST consultancy services, which will include access to Refinity®, a cloud-based platform offering digital solutions for color matching, business management, and training.

This partnership not only focuses on delivering the highest quality standards for paintwork repairs on Toyota’s premium vehicles but also aligns with Toyota’s sustainability targets. BASF Coatings will ensure the adoption of the most sustainable and efficient refinish practices across Europe, aiming to create new business opportunities and enhance support for Toyota’s body shop network in line with continuous improvement.
