(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 20-Mar-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Barclays has announced today that Kieran Whitty will join as Co-Head of Healthcare EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), working in tandem with Sid Chhibbar, the current Co-Head of Healthcare EMEA. This appointment is part of Barclays’ strategic push to expand its presence in the UK and Continental Europe, areas that are central to the growth agenda of Barclays Investment Bank.

Kieran Whitty comes to Barclays with 18 years of experience from Bank of America, where he most recently served as a Managing Director in the EMEA Healthcare team. His impressive track record includes advising leading clients across the healthcare services and medtech sectors. Notably, he played a key role in advising PureHealth on its acquisition of Hellenic Healthcare Group and assisted Nordic Capital with its exit from Sunrise Medical. Whitty’s extensive industry experience and deep network in the healthcare space make him a valuable addition to the team.

In his new role at Barclays, based in London, Whitty will report to Richard Landgarten, Global Head of Healthcare and Real Estate Investment Banking, and will collaborate closely with Sid Chhibbar, who has been with Barclays since 2015 and specializes in advising corporate clients and financial sponsors in the pharmaceutical and healthcare services sectors.
