Avia Solutions Group’s KlasJet Signs Charter Deal with Air Cairo to Support Egyptian Tourism Surge

(IN BRIEF) Avia Solutions Group’s charter airline KlasJet has signed an agreement with Air Cairo to operate summer flights between Milan, Sharjah, and Cairo from May 30 to October 31, 2025. As the first EASA-based ACMI partner of Air Cairo, KlasJet swiftly launched the operation within three days of signing the contract. The partnership supports growing tourism demand in Egypt, a vital part of the national economy, and underscores both companies’ commitment to operational excellence and premium travel service.

(PRESS RELEASE) DUBLIN, 9-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, continues to expand its global aviation footprint through one of its companies, KlasJet, which has signed a new charter flight agreement with Air Cairo. Under this arrangement, KlasJet is operating summer charter flights from Milan (Italy) and Sharjah (UAE) to Cairo (Egypt) between May 30 and October 31, 2025.

Air Cairo, a carrier partially owned by EgyptAir and operating a fleet of over 30 Airbus A320 aircraft, is a major player in Egypt’s charter flight market, connecting European cities with popular tourist destinations across the country. With this partnership, KlasJet becomes the first ACMI provider based in an EASA-regulated country to collaborate with Air Cairo.

Despite regulatory and procedural differences, KlasJet successfully executed a swift three-day turnaround from contract signing to the inaugural ferry flight to Cairo on May 30. This rapid deployment was made possible by the airline’s agile operational approach and a hands-on team that travelled to Cairo to ensure all aspects of the launch were smoothly executed.

Vytautas Mikuckas, Head of the Wet Lease Department at KlasJet, shared, “Our team demonstrated exceptional commitment and adaptability, ensuring seamless alignment with Air Cairo’s operational needs. The successful launch reflects strong coordination, proactive communication, and the spirit of genuine partnership.”

The collaboration between Air Cairo and KlasJet supports the resurgence of tourism in Egypt—a sector that remains central to the country’s economy. In the July to September period last year alone, Egypt generated $4.8 billion in tourism revenue, a key boost to Africa’s second-largest economy.

A representative from Air Cairo expressed optimism about the venture, emphasizing confidence in KlasJet’s ability to deliver a quality passenger experience and enhance the travel offering for tourists heading to Egypt.
